ParkHats is a useful starting point if you know which landmark you want but haven’t settled on a cap shape. Its Longs Peak patch comes on a soft, low camp cap, while Mount Rainier gets a mesh-back Classic. US shipping is free, and ParkHats says most caps ship the next business day.
Our picks

5 Panel$30
ParkHats
A soft, low camp cap with Longs Peak woven on the front.

What it sells
ParkHats has made park caps since 2016, for 17 national parks plus Banff. Each cap is put together by hand when you order and has a woven patch about 3 inches wide, with original art of one landmark in the park.
The Classic, 5 Panel and Flatbill cost $30, the Camper and Corduroy Dad Hat cost $35, and there’s a $20 beanie too. Not every park comes in every style, so start at your park’s page on parkhats.com.
How they fit
ParkHats lists a size range of 7 to 7¾ for its adjustable caps. They all need spot cleaning.

Where the money goes
ParkHats says it gives 10% of its profits to preserving the parks and other conservation work. The other brands that give are in which national park hats give back.
Where to buy
ParkHats’ own site accepts an unused cap in its packaging within 30 days, though you pay the return shipping.
At Acadia, the Jordan Pond House shop sells a ParkHats cap with the Acadia patch for $39.99.

Longs Peak fills the woven patch on this low, soft camp cap. It’s a good choice if taller trucker crowns feel like too much hat, with four colors to choose from.
Downsides
A short brim, so it shades less than a regular cap.

Best for a mesh back on a hot day
Mt. Rainier Classic Hat
ParkHats
- Style
- Trucker cap with a mesh back
- Design
- Mount Rainier artwork on a front patch
- Fit
- Adjustable strap; fits hat sizes 7 to 7 3/4
- Care

The Classic puts the Mount Rainier patch on a mesh-back cap in six colors. It has the familiar trucker shape, with more airflow through the back than the all-fabric caps.
Downsides
Mesh lets the sun through on the back of your head.

Best for a structured camp cap
Arches Camper Hat
ParkHats

- Structured 5-panel camp cap
- Design
- Woven original artwork of Delicate Arch
- Made of
- Nylon
- Fit
- Adjustable snapback
- Giving
- ParkHats says it gives 10% of profits to conservation and sustainable development worldwide, not park-specific
Delicate Arch on a nylon camp cap with a stiff front and a snapback. Nylon dries faster than cotton.
Downsides
It’s $5 more than the Classic.

Best for corduroy with a park on it
Corduroy Dad Hat
ParkHats
- Style
- Unstructured 6-panel corduroy dad cap in blue
- Design
- Woven park patch: Acadia, Rocky Mountain or Yellowstone
- Made of
- Corduroy, lined with twill
- Fit
- Strapback with a brass clasp; fits hat sizes 7 to 7¾
- Giving
- ParkHats says it gives 10% of profits to conservation and development work worldwide
The blue corduroy is the reason to choose this one: it gives the cap a different texture from ParkHats’ nylon and mesh styles. This version comes with an Acadia, Rocky Mountain or Yellowstone patch, and other parks have separate corduroy listings.
Downsides
Corduroy runs warm in summer.
Compare the Longs Peak cap in Rocky Mountain hats and the Classic in Mount Rainier hats. Both guides include other makers and the published fit details.
